7 Months

I can't believe it's been 7 months since I've posted on this blog. SO much has been happening since then and I hope to catch everyone up with some fun images.

Back in February, I decided to move out of my tiny upstairs photography studio and open up an Art gallery. What?! This is most likely why I haven't posted on this page in so long. We began the journey to construct and open our gallery (myself and my wonderful husband, Chris) in Feb. We opened in May and it has been a whirlwind. The studio doubled in size and I took on a whole new endeavor with the Art gallery. It has been a huge labor of love, sweat and tears and I pray it continues forever.

In a lot of ways Sarah Molloy Photography and 30 North are different, but in a lot of ways they are one in the same so I'd like to share the many things we have happening down here in the studio and at the gallery! (apologies in advance for the length of this post )  :)

The studio -

I have an amazing new studio that is ever changing.

Photographers, if you would like to rent the studio, we rent it for a rate of $25/hour or $125 for 8hrs.

Christmas Mini Sessions in the studio! $75 and your files will be delivered in time for Christmas cards.

The Gallery -

ART WALK - We are open late the third Friday of every month. We are here till 9 and are usually featuring an amazing new artist. Come down and enjoy wine, a snack and great company and meet the artists that hang in the gallery.  Make it a date night. We have so many wonderful local restaurants in the immediate area. Most of the other galleries in downtown are open till 8 as well.

Wine and Painting Classes

Saturday Nov 21st @ 6pm is our first Christmas painting class. Fee is $45 and includes ALL supplies, wine and snack and you get to take home your beautiful winter wonderland creation!
Here are some images of what I have been up to the past 7 months.

Wooden Shoe

The tulips are quickly becoming a tradition with my family and friends. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon is one of the most beautiful and glorious places to visit in Oregon during spring. There are acres and acres upon acres of the most beautiful and unique flowers. There are activities for the kids during festival hours and they are always so kind to let photographers enter before hours to shoot a sunrise and stay late after hours to shoot a very unique sunset among the wooden shoes, tulips, windmill, Mt Hood, and an adorable pink tractor.
As a portrait AND a landscape photographer, this location is a dream to shoot both. The absolute best part, is all the activities the kids have to do while I grab a quick landscape shot.

The first set of images is from a trip last year with a friend and fellow photographer. We went up later in the day and arrived in a torrential downpour that lead to an amazing evening rainbow over the fields.

The second set is a stop we made with the entire family on the way home from one of our many Portland trips.

And the third is a second trip we made this year for one more portrait session with the girls and of course some landscape shots.

If you have a chance, I highly suggest you make the trip to see the tulips!
