California Trippin' - A Photographers Wanderlust

Over the summer I took a trip down the California coast with a fellow local photographer to explore and of course take pictures. With the crazy fall season finally coming to a close I am finally able to work on and share images from this awesome trip!

We started at the very top of the California coast and made our first stop at Fern Canyon. This is a MUST see destination. I can't wait to go back and explore and spend a couple days camping with my family right on the beach just outside the canyon -

After we left Fern Canyon, we proceeded on the longest windiest road I've ever been on in my life. If you get car sick, you may want to take an alternative route, or just drive really, REALLY slow :)

The pay off at the end of said windy, WINDY road was this gorgeous sunset -

After staying the night in the super cute California town of Fort Bragg, we visited glass beach.
This place is so worth a quick stop on your way down the coast

Another windy couple hours down the coast and a couple of road side stops.....

And finally.....San Francisco, CA

This sessions started out with just our oldest daughter. There was a fundraising event at our gallery over the weekend and the organizer of the event was so kind as to leave a bunch of the beautiful table runners that were made and provided by Carol Jean. Being the crazy photographer that I am, I saw a crazy giant head piece the second I saw the flowers. At the end of My oldest daughters shoot, my younger two kids showed up and joined the fun. I FINALLY have a single amazing pic of all three of my kiddos together! Yahoo!!!
